- Be a mentor-- work with the same student throughout the school year. If you choose to work with a student between the ages of Kindergarten and 3rd grade, you will spend 30 minutes with the student, one day a week during the school day (8 a.m.–3 p.m.). If you choose to work with a student in 4th or 5th grades, you will spend 1-2 hours a week, outside of the school day (3-5 pm or Sat. 9am-noon). The students participating in the Mentor Program have been recommended by teachers and faculty at Arthur Kramer Elementary School, and have the permission of their parent/guardian to participate. - PLEASE REMEMBER: to register as a volunteer (or re-new old volunteer registration) on-line with DISD and to fill out the Kramer volunteer form. DISD on-line registration information and form is attached and on the website.
